By installing or using MOS (My Own Subtitles), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please uninstall the extension and do not use the service.

MOS is operated by Gripul INC, a Texas corporation. These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Gripul INC regarding your use of MOS.

MOS is a Google Chrome browser extension that intercepts subtitle data from Netflix during playback and translates it using AI (Google Gemini). It supports translation into 20 languages and displays dual subtitles on screen.

MOS requires:

• A Google Chrome browser on PC or Mac
• An active Netflix subscription
• A subtitle track to be available for the content being played
• An internet connection for AI translation

MOS does not modify Netflix content, does not circumvent DRM protections, and does not download or redistribute any copyrighted material.

MOS provides free users with a daily translation allowance at no charge. For additional translations beyond the daily limit, users can purchase Dotori credits through the in-extension store.

• Each subtitle translation (per video, per language) consumes one translation credit or Dotori
• Free daily translation allowance resets every 24 hours and does not carry over
• Purchased Dotori do not expire and are tied to your Google account
• Dotori have no cash value and cannot be transferred between accounts

All Dotori purchases are final. Refunds are available only in the circumstances described in Section 6 (Refund Policy).

MOS depends on third-party platforms and services, including Netflix and Google Gemini. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service.

Service may be affected or temporarily unavailable due to:

• Changes to Netflix's platform, subtitle delivery format, or technical policies
• Google Gemini API outages or policy changes
• Chrome browser updates
• Scheduled maintenance or unplanned technical issues on our end

We will make reasonable efforts to restore functionality when disruptions occur. However, we cannot guarantee that any particular feature will remain available indefinitely, as it may depend on factors outside our control.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Gripul INC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, MOS.

This includes, but is not limited to, damages resulting from:

• Temporary or permanent service interruptions caused by third-party platform changes
• Loss of translated subtitle data
• Inaccuracies in AI-generated translations
• Incompatibility with future versions of Chrome or Netflix

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these terms or your use of MOS shall not exceed the amount you paid for Dotori credits in the 90 days prior to the event giving rise to the claim.

Dotori purchases are generally non-refundable. Refunds may be issued in the following circumstances:

• Unused Dotori refund: If a technical change (e.g., a Netflix platform update) causes MOS's core translation functionality to become permanently unavailable, users may request a refund for their remaining unused purchased Dotori balance.
• Duplicate purchase: If you are charged twice for the same transaction due to a billing error.

Dotori are tied to your Google account. Refunds can only be processed if you are able to identify your purchase via the email address used for Google sign-in.

Dotori that have already been consumed to perform translations are not eligible for refund, as the service was rendered.

To request a refund, contact us at support@myownsubtitles.com with your purchase details.

You agree to use MOS only for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the MOS extension
• Distribute, sell, or republish subtitle or translation data generated by MOS to third parties
• Attempt to circumvent the credit system or obtain Dotori fraudulently
• Use MOS in any way that violates applicable laws or third-party terms of service

MOS, including its name, logo, code, and design, is owned by Gripul INC. All rights reserved.

Translated subtitle content is generated using AI and is derived from source material owned by the respective content rights holders. MOS does not claim ownership over translated content, and such translations are provided solely for your personal viewing use.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of MOS after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

For significant changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users via the MOS extension or website.

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
