Summary: Starting with v2.0.0, MOS stores your Google profile and credit balance on our server to support paid translation credits (Dotori). Subtitle data stays on your device and your personal Google Drive. Payment is processed entirely by Stripe — we never see your card details.
MOS (My Own Subtitles) is a Chrome extension that passively collects subtitles from Netflix during playback, translates them using AI, and displays dual-language subtitles. Users can optionally sign in with Google to sync data across devices and purchase Dotori credits for additional translations.

Google login is optional. Users who do not sign in can still use daily free credits anonymously using a device UUID.
appDataFolder, a hidden folder only accessible by MOS. No other Drive files are accessed.We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising or analytics purposes.
MOS operators have administrative access to server-side data (Google profile, credit balance, usage history) solely for the purpose of customer support and credit adjustments. This access is protected by a private admin key and is not exposed publicly.
Local data can be deleted at any time via MOS Settings → Data Management → Reset All Data. Uninstalling the extension removes all local data automatically.
To request deletion of your server-side data (Google profile, credit balance, payment history), contact us at the address below. We will process the request within 7 business days.
MOS is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If this policy is updated, the revised version will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use of MOS after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
